Feng Shui Office

For most professionals, the office serves as their second home being the place where they spend their time talking to clients, discussing vital issues with colleagues and formulating ways to achieve daily goals. This room, in order to promote office efficiency and attract positive energy or qi, must be properly positioned and well organized. Arranging your furniture and accessories in the right direction will also ensure favorable energy.

The east sector can improve advertising and recognition. Decorate it with wooden items and use contrasting red colors. Complement it with a potted plant or two.

The south part is where your business success depends. You can place your photo here together with some metal decorations like gold. Placing a cup of water near your picture is also believed to attract financial luck.

For the west sector that pertains to water and life elements, use several potted plants as well as small fountains and waterfalls. These decors will not only improve your health but will enhance your ability to recognize good business deals.

The north sector, which caters to fire, should be decorated with incense. The purpose here is to burn away the negativity that exists in the area such as misfortune, financial hardships and gossip.

Apart from using feng shui-rich decors in those four important sectors, there are some things you also need to do to create a favorable office atmosphere for all employees. The principles of ergonomics, ecology and psychology should be present.

Taking away the clutter is a good start. Throw papers and files that you no longer need and organize those that need to be filed. Desks should be open and free of accessories to enable you to work continuously without distractions.

File all business records properly in storage cabinets regardless whether they are involved in the past, present and future businesses. Maintaining well-organized files denotes respect to your records.

Be sure to use furniture and decors of good quality and that which give you comfort. Supportive office equipment and eye-catching decors will surely make your office attractive thereby allowing the entry of positive chi.

Position your desk facing the doorway. With this so-called ?command? position, you will also gain energetic support with your back toward a wall or a corner. If it's not possible to move your desk, place a small mirror on your monitor in front of you to enable you to see what is going on behind you or who is approaching.

A leafy green plant in a red pot on the top left corner of your desk attracts beauty and life energy into your space. Bamboo, jade or money tree are highly recommended.
